The secret Gold of bees.
Flower pollen

Pollen is a fine dust present on flowers which, thanks to the intervention of bees, acts as a means of fertilization of the flower itself. Transported by forager bees inside the hive after storing and humidifying it, the pollen acts as nourishment for the brood in the hive. In fact, here, once the right level of maturation has been reached, it is consumed by nurse bees and larvae, which, thanks to its protein and beneficial properties, have the right nourishment to grow healthy and strong.

A complete food

The quality of Pollen

The individual bee pollen granules are gold mines from a nutritional point of view as they contain all the elements necessary for the body’s health and psycho-physical development. Pollen is a complete food as it contains proteins, vitamins, fats, amino acids, fibre, enzymes, carbohydrates, all assimilable by humans. It is considered a natural antibiotic for its nutritional principles and for its ability to improve the body in situations of tiredness, stress and food-related pathologies. Finally, it is a supplement for the human immune system as it has antioxidant properties, counteracts the free radicals responsible for aging and has a stimulating action on the metabolism.

Bees and Humans

Benefit from the properties of pollen

Due to the beneficial properties and natural principles listed, beekeepers have created traps to collect bee pollen positioned directly at the entrance to the hives. These, thanks to their compositional structure, intercept the pollen, so that a part remains for the bees who will use it as their own nourishment, while the other will be destined for humans so that they have the opportunity to enjoy its beneficial and unique properties.

The different annual climatic conditions do not guarantee the same production of pollen, but ensure a unique and quality product that varies according to the seasons.
